The main component of this site, Neuropathology, is an illustrated, interactive course, designed to teach neuropathology to medical students and residents. This course was developed by Dimitri Agamanolis, M. D., staff pathologist at Akron Children's Hospital, and professor of pathology (neuropathology) at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine (NEOUCOM). The material in Neuropathology is organized in 14 chapters and includes sections about stroke, multiple sclerosis, brain tumors, Alzheimer's disease, cerebral palsy, brain malformations, and many other topics. Each chapter includes text and small illustrations which, upon clicking, reveal larger, more detailed pictures. Text and illustrations are updated from time to time by Dimitri Agamanolis.

The Tests consist of interactive multiple choice questions based on the material presented in Neuropathology. Some questions contain pictures. Presently, there are tests for chapters 2-Hypoxia and Stroke, 3-Perinatal Disorders, 4-Traumatic Brain Injury, 5-CNS Infections, 6-Demyelinative Diseases, 7-Brain Tumors, 8-Nutritional Disorders, 9-Neurodegenerative Disorders, and 11-CNS Malformations. Tests on other chapters are in preparation.

NEOUCOM-M2 contains the Neuropathology syllabus for the NEOUCOM M2 class, including laboratories.

Neuropathology was peer reviewed by the American Association of Medical Colleges in 2006 and was accepted for publication in the AAMC MedEdPortal.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
Support for Neuropathology has been provided by the Andrews-Musser Library Endowment Fund and the Pathology Research and Education Fund of Akron Children's Hospital and by the Master Teachers Guild of NEOUCOM. This site grew from a CD-ROM, produced in 1998 with the help of Mike Gemmer. Dr. Maie K. Herrick read the original manuscript and made many valuable suggestions. Simba Midzi provided help for the display of images. The site was redesigned in 2005-2006 by Dimitri Agamanolis and Richard Koneval. The"TESTS" section was redesigned by Dimitri Agamanolis in 2007. Java script code for the "TESTS" was donated by Dynamic Web Coding.

I am grateful to the many colleagues in Akron, Youngstown, Canton, and adjacent communities who have shared their material with me over the years.
